Our Organic Date Jaggery (খেজুর গুড়) is hand-crafted from fresh date palm sap collected during the cool winter months in Jessore and Faridpur — regions famous for producing Bangladesh's finest nolen gur. Each morning before dawn, skilled tappers climb date palm trees to collect the naturally sweet sap that drips overnight into clay pots. This sap is then slow-simmered over wood fires until it thickens and solidifies into deeply flavorful, mineral-rich jaggery. Unlike refined white sugar, date jaggery retains all its natural minerals — iron, calcium, potassium, and magnesium — along with antioxidants from the palm sap. The distinctive smoky, caramel flavor with hints of molasses makes it irreplaceable in traditional Bengali desserts like payesh, sandesh, pithe, and puli. Completely free from artificial colors, preservatives, or processing chemicals, this is sweetness in its most natural, nourishing form.
