Our Organic Cane Jaggery (আখের গুড়) is produced by slow-boiling freshly pressed sugarcane juice in large open iron pans over wood fires — a method unchanged for thousands of years across the sugarcane-growing regions of Faridpur, Rajshahi, and Jashore. Unlike refined white sugar, which undergoes extensive chemical processing with sulfur dioxide, phosphoric acid, and activated carbon to achieve its pure white color and crystalline structure, cane jaggery retains all the natural minerals and micronutrients present in sugarcane juice — including iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium, and B vitamins — along with molasses that gives it a warm, complex flavor. The naturally occurring iron makes jaggery particularly valuable for preventing iron-deficiency anemia. In Bangladeshi tradition, jaggery is used at the end of a meal as a digestive, in seasonal pithe, payesh, and sweet preparations, and as a natural sweetener in tea. Our jaggery is completely free from chemicals, artificial colors, and preservatives — just pure, concentrated sugarcane goodness.
