Our Organic Mung Dal (মুগ ডাল) is sourced from certified organic farms where mung beans are grown traditionally without synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or chemical treatments. Mung dal is one of the most nutritionally complete and easily digestible legumes available — a valuable source of plant protein (around 24g per 100g), dietary fiber, folate, magnesium, potassium, and antioxidants including vitexin and isovitexin. Unlike most legumes, mung dal requires no soaking before cooking and digests easily even for sensitive stomachs, making it the ideal dal for children, the elderly, and those recovering from illness. Traditional Ayurvedic and Unani medicine systems consider mung dal cooling, detoxifying, and balancing. Sprouted mung beans contain even higher levels of vitamins C and E and digestive enzymes. In Bangladeshi cooking, mung dal is prepared as a simple light dal, khichuri, halwa, and the beloved muri ghanto. Clean, gentle, and deeply nourishing.
