Our Organic Cloves (লবঙ্গ) are carefully handpicked from organically managed clove trees in the tropical spice gardens of Indonesia's Maluku Islands and certified farms in Sri Lanka. These dried flower buds are among the most aromatic and medicinally potent spices on earth. The dominant compound eugenol makes up 70–90% of clove's essential oil and is responsible for its intense, warm, slightly numbing character, as well as its remarkable antimicrobial, antioxidant, and pain-relieving properties. Clove has been used for millennia to treat toothache, indigestion, respiratory conditions, and as a natural food preservative. In Bangladeshi cooking, whole cloves form an indispensable part of garam masala, biriyani, korma, and halwa preparations. Our cloves are dense, heavy, and highly aromatic — a sign of fresh, properly harvested buds with high oil content. Just two or three cloves provide an entire dish with deep, warming complexity.
